NexGen Sires technology is a novel and patent protected breakthrough that is nothing short of a holistic solution for disseminating desired genetics across whole herds and flocks without the need for artificial insemination, risk of selecting deleterious characteristics, or limitations of scale from current industrial breeding programs. By knocking out the genetic program specific to male fertility in the animal embryos we create a perfectly healthy, perfectly bred, naturally sterile male raised to become a surrogate male. The sterile surrogate male is then transplanted with stem cells from a donor male chosen by breeders for their elite and highly desirable traits (or from one of our MCAs). The surrogate male, while average in most ways now carries and produces sperm with only the genetic material of the selected elite donor animal.

To this end, we have developed and offer to large breeders Modified Characteristic Animals (MCAs) to allow for the precise introduction of production driving traits into their herd. Whether in combination with NexGen Sire Technology or by itself, animal producers seek out APYS Biotechnology to generate animals that target and deliver traits of value. Perhaps it is the removal of a sheep’s tail genetically, thereby eliminating millions of dollars and thousands of man-hours every year to clip the tail manually. Or perhaps it is perfect marbling of buffalo meat, the muscle production of horses for racing, disease tolerance for llamas, or more.
